This place has made history.
Now we are opening the next chapter of the Klosterpark.

The area around the monastery ruins is one of the oldest settled areas in Boitzenburg. The former mill is now a museum; the adjacent barn has previously been used to store historical objects and equipment, and the former stable was used in the past as the “Wirtshaus zur Klostermühle” inn.

Every building has its story. We are convinced: together they have a great future.

The UMBRUCH Gruppe will now awaken this unique ensemble from its slumber. Together with the municipality, partners, and authorities, the buildings will be renovated to preserve their substance. And finally, they will be reopened as KLOSTERPARK Boitzenburg.

Site plan of the Klosterpark ensemble.
The old “Wirtshaus zur Klostermühle” will become the new KLOSTERSCHÄNKE. It will feature nine guest rooms in the attic, a large dining room, a function room, and a beer garden.
A spacious suite in the KLOSTERSCHEUNE offers further accommodation. Additionally, the building will serve as a flexible event hall and will be equipped with a music production studio.
The KLOSTERMÜHLE is already in use as a museum. We will renovate this historic heart of the site to preserve its substance and further develop the museum concept.
The monastery ruins bear witness to the cultural and historical value of the site.
The festival meadow provides the ideal conditions as an event venue and meeting place for residents and visitors of the region.

The new Klosterschänke will lead the way as a meeting place for all residents and visitors of Boitzenburg.
With nine guest rooms in the newly developed attic. With restaurant and café operations and a beer garden. With a large, cozy dining room and a function room for birthdays, seminars, or community meetings.

We are developing the new Klosterscheune into an event hall with a music and theater stage.
It will be Boitzenburg’s premier space for concerts, weddings, seminars, or dance evenings. Additionally, another guest room and a music production studio will be integrated into the barn, featuring professional equipment for musicians from the region.

The Klostermühle is already one of the most important witnesses to Boitzenburg’s history.
The UMBRUCH Gruppe will therefore renovate it with particular care to preserve its substance and develop it into a place of remembrance for all of Boitzenburg. Together with the renowned museum expert and curator Dr. Kurt Winkler, we will expand the technical museum’s offerings and also tell the story of Boitzenburg within the mill.

We can hardly wait to make KLOSTERPARK Boitzenburg a new place of longing far beyond the region.
