We, Stiftung Zukunft Berlin and UMBRUCH Gruppe, cordially invite you:

The Boitzenburger Land is always worth a visit. Some of Germany’s most beautiful hiking and cycling trails await you here all year round. However, a trip on Sunday, May 25, 2025, is especially worthwhile. As part of the ““Nachbarn bei Nachbarn”” initiative, author Holger Siemann will read from the book “Drei Stunden hinter Berlin. Briefe aus dem Vikariat.” by Heinrich Wolfgang Seidel. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Boitzenburg church choir Cantores and Adrian Rovatkay on the organ. Afterwards, we look forward to a neighborly exchange over coffee and cake.
Since 2013, the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin has been behind this initiative. It regularly organizes readings in selected village churches in Brandenburg to foster exchange and understanding between the metropolis and the countryside.
Together with Stiftung Zukunft Berlin, we have put together a program designed to inspire, inform, and connect. You are cordially invited: come to rest, take a deep breath, let your gaze wander, and your thoughts roam free.
Visit us on May 25, 2025, in the beautiful Boitzenburger Land.

The area around the monastery ruins is one of the oldest settled areas in Boitzenburg. The former mill is now a museum, historical objects and equipment are stored in the adjacent barn, and the former stable was previously used as the “Wirtshaus zur Klostermühle” (Monastery Mill Inn).
The UMBRUCH Gruppe acquired this unique ensemble to awaken it from its slumber. Together with the municipality, partners, and authorities, the buildings are being renovated to preserve their substance. And finally, they will be reopened as KLOSTERPARK Boitzenburg. A lighthouse project for structural development in Brandenburg, about which initiator Daniel Haver will personally inform you.
